Job title: Infrastructure Analyst – Endpoint Patching & Vulnerability
Role Summary: Manage and optimize Windows and mobile endpoint patching and vulnerability remediation across a corporate estate. Coordinate with Information Security to prioritize findings, deploy updates through SCCM, Intune, Meraki, Apple Business Manager, and Office 365, monitor compliance, and produce audit‑ready reports.
Expectations: Deliver secure, compliant endpoint management within 12‑month contract. Minimize business disruption through careful scheduling, resolve deployment issues, maintain accurate documentation, and support security tooling improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Information Security to assess vulnerability findings and set remediation priorities.
- Plan, test, and deploy OS and software patches for Windows endpoints via SCCM and Intune; extend to iOS/Android and Apple Business Manager.
- Manage patching schedules, deployment rings, and maintenance windows; monitor success, troubleshoot failures, and drive corrective action.
- Maintain runbooks, knowledge articles, and documentation for patching processes.
- Produce compliance and remediation reports for security, management, audit, and governance.
- Support projects related to endpoint management, Windows upgrades, and security tooling enhancements.
- Liaise with third‑party vendors and internal teams for issue resolution.
- Provide technical consultancy on endpoint management to projects and partners.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency with Windows client OS and lifecycle management.
- Experience with iOS, Android, SCCM/MECM, Intune, Meraki Systems Manager, and Apple Business Manager.
- Strong understanding of patch management processes and vulnerability remediation.
- Ability to analyze vulnerability data and apply risk‑based priorities.
- Troubleshooting expertise for patching, software deployment, and update compliance.
- Competent with PowerShell scripting for automation.
- Experience producing compliance reports and maintaining audit evidence.
- Familiarity with ITIL/change management practices.
- Knowledge of endpoint security tools (e.g., Microsoft Defender).
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Microsoft certifications such as MS-900, MS-203, MD-100, or equivalent are preferred.
