**Job title**: Associate Solution Engineer **Role Summary** Provide expert technical support and problem‑solving for the Appian low‑code platform. Work across all layers—from data analysis and scripting to system administration—to ensure customers achieve high availability, performance, functionality, and security of the platform. **Expectations** - Deliver world‑class, concise verbal and written support to global customers and stakeholders. - Handle after‑hours support on a rotating schedule (10‑15 week cycle). - Collaborate cross‑functionally and communicate solutions clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences. **Key Responsibilities** - Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across the Appian platform. - Analyze data and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities. - Develop and run scripts in languages such as Java, Perl, Ruby, C#, or PHP to automate tasks or troubleshoot. - Work with RDBMS (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) to query, troubleshoot, and optimize databases. - Perform system administration on Linux and Windows environments. - Provide root‑cause analysis and document findings, solutions, and best practices. - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for platform availability and security. - Communicate progress and outcomes to customers and internal teams. **Required Skills** - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Experience or interest in programming/scripting (Java, Perl, Ruby, C#, PHP). - Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server). - Knowledge of Linux and Windows system administration. - Interest in data analytics and performance tuning. - Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. - Certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Oracle SQL Certified Associate) are beneficial but not required.
