Job Description

**Job Title:** Azure DevOps Engineer **Role Summary:** Responsible for designing, deploying, and automating infrastructure across hybrid Azure and VMware environments. Maintain and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines, monitor cloud spend, ensure security compliance, manage data platform operations, and provide 2nd/3rd line support for Windows and Linux systems. **Expectations:** - Proven experience with hybrid cloud (Azure + VMware) - Strong automation and scripting capabilities - Proficiency in CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) - Solid understanding of networking, identity, backup, and security fundamentals - Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills across infrastructure layers **Key Responsibilities:** - Build and maintain IaC using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, or CloudFormation - Develop, monitor, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for application and platform releases - Track and improve cloud consumption, supporting cost‑efficiency initiatives - Execute patching, vulnerability remediation, and security incident response - Manage data platform operations: storage, protection, replication, and workflow automation - Provide 2nd/3rd line support for Windows and Linux servers, handling updates, performance tuning, and configuration consistency **Required Skills:** - IaC tools: Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation - Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, Python (or equivalent) - CI/CD: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins - Cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, VMware vSphere - Networking, DNS, VPN, load balancing concepts - Identity & access management (Azure AD, RBAC) - Backup, disaster recovery, and security best practices - Strong troubleshooting, monitoring, and documentation abilities **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field **or** equivalent professional experience - Preferred certifications: - Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate - Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert - VMware Certified Professional (VCP) - Additional certifications (e.g., Terraform Associate, CISSP) are a plus.
