Job Description

**Job title**: Senior Software Engineer – .NET / Azure **Role Summary**: Senior backend engineer responsible for end‑to‑end ownership of high‑reliability, performance‑critical services in a production environment, including design, implementation, deployment, and ongoing support. **Expectations**: - Deliver robust, scalable C#/.NET services that meet production reliability and performance standards. - Own features from concept through to live support, ensuring minimal downtime and high quality. - Mentor junior engineers and drive adherence to engineering standards. **Key Responsibilities**: - Design, develop, and maintain C#/.NET backend services. - Build and consume REST APIs; maintain legacy SOAP interfaces as needed. - Deploy services to Azure, leveraging appropriate hosting, scaling, and monitoring solutions. - Optimize database interactions with SQL Server; work with MongoDB when applicable. - Implement automated tests, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines. - Monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents, and apply production fixes. - Mentor teammates and influence best practices in code quality, testing, and operations. **Required Skills**: - Advanced experience with C# and .NET framework/.NET Core. - Strong Azure proficiency (App Services, Functions, VMs, AKS, deployment pipelines). - Expertise in SQL Server and familiarity with MongoDB. - Proven ability to support production systems, including incident response and performance tuning. - Automation‑first mindset for testing and deployment. - Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and pragmatic decision‑making. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Relevant Azure or .NET certifications are a plus (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, Microsoft Certified: .NET Developer).
