Job Description
Job Title: Supplier Manager Role Summary The Supplier Manager owns and governs the end‑to‑end supplier onboarding framework, ensuring vendors are assessed, approved, and integrated in a controlled, compliant, and efficient manner. The role reduces operational and regulatory risk, maintains audit readiness, and safeguards service integrity. Expections - Uphold governance and process control, delivering consistent, auditable onboarding decisions. - Align supplier engagement with commercial, technical, and regulatory standards. - Actively mitigate risk, protect data security, and preserve the organisation’s reputation. Key Responsibilities - Lead the Supplier Onboarding Framework, updating policies, controls, and workflows. - Conduct due‑diligence and risk assessment with finance, legal, security, GRC, and operations teams. - Maintain comprehensive documentation, approval records, and audit trails. - Coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders (procurement, legal, finance, IT, GRC) to ensure timely, consistent onboarding. - Manage the Approved Supplier List (PSL) and evaluate new onboarding requests against PSL capabilities. Required Skills - Strong governance and pipeline ownership mindset. - Analytical and risk‑aware decision‑making. - Excellent stakeholder engagement across senior leaders, technical teams, and external suppliers. - High attention to detail; precise documentation and compliance checks. - Commercial acumen – understanding contractual, financial, and commercial implications. - Clear verbal and written communication. - Highly organized, process‑driven, managing multiple activities concurrently. - Continuous improvement focus – identifying and implementing efficiencies. - Resilient, confident decision‑maker capable of holding firm on governance standards. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field. - Relevant certification (e.g., CIPS, ISM, PMP, CISSP, ISO 37001) preferred.
