**Job Title:** Service Desk Analyst (SC Cleared) **Role Summary:** Provide 1st‑line technical support for Windows and iOS environments, manage incidents and service requests in line with service‑level targets, maintain and enrich the Service Desk knowledge base, and contribute to continual service improvement. Position is on‑site (5 days/week) in East Kilbride on an initial 6‑month contract with high likelihood of extension. **Expactations:** - Hold a current Active Security Clearance (SC). - Work full‑time on‑site, adhering to agreed SLAs. - Deliver clear, timely communication to customers throughout ticket lifecycles. - Participate in improvement initiatives and knowledge‑base updates. **Key Responsibilities:** - Diagnose and resolve end‑user technical issues (Windows, iOS) via phone, email, or ticketing system. - Log, prioritize, and track incidents and service requests to closure per SLA. - Utilize and contribute to Knowledge Articles; update the Service Desk Knowledge Base. - Inform users of status and progress for all tickets. - Identify and propose continual service improvement opportunities. - Collaborate with other IT teams for escalations and problem resolution. **Required Skills:** - Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows OS and iOS devices. - Proficiency with ITSM/ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy). - Ability to create and maintain knowledge‑base content. - Excellent verbal and written communication; customer‑focused attitude. - Familiarity with basic networking concepts and hardware peripherals. - Understanding of ITIL service‑management practices preferred. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum: High school diploma/GCSE equivalent; further education in IT preferred. - Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent. - Active SC (Security Check) clearance required at time of application.
