Job Title: Software Engineer 2 Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and microservice‑based APIs that process billions of items. Provide fast search and information‑retrieval services for large datasets, ensure system reliability, and implement monitoring, alerting, and automation to reduce manual operations. Expectations: 2+ years experience in production‑focused software engineering. Demonstrated ability to simplify complex problems, excellent coding practices, and strong communication with cross‑functional teams. Key Responsibilities: • Build and support high‑volume data pipelines incorporating ML models. • Develop low‑latency search and information‑retrieval services. • Maintain and enhance production systems for availability, reliability, and scalability. • Diagnose and resolve operational incidents. • Create monitoring, alerting, and automation tools to minimize manual intervention. • Continuously improve operational efficiency through tooling and best practices. • Contribute to runbooks, documentation, and knowledge sharing across teams. Required Skills: • Strong programming in Java, Kotlin, Python or C++. • Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and RESTful APIs. • Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk) and CI/CD pipelines. • Proficiency in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. • Effective written and verbal communication; teamwork orientation.
