DoD SkillBridge – Honor Role Apprenticeship
**Role Summary**
An apprenticeship program for transitioning U.S. military service members and spouses. Roles include Software Engineer, Product Owner, or Cybersecurity Specialist. Candidates receive hands‑on training and work experience in advanced technology fields, facilitating a smooth transition into civilian tech careers.

**Key Responsibilities**
* **Software Engineer** – Design, develop, and test software using Java, Node.js, .NET, C++, JavaScript, PHP, Python, Ruby, iOS, and Android.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate code into cloud and mesh infrastructure.
* Follow Agile practices and maintain high‑quality coding standards.
* **Product Owner** – Define product strategy, prioritize backlogs, and coordinate delivery of features that meet user needs.
* Manage the product lifecycle from concept through launch, leveraging Connected Commerce Cloud.
* Liaise with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to align on objectives.
* **Cybersecurity Specialist** – Lead red‑team, penetration testing, and Security Operations Center (SOC) activities.
* Develop and implement security strategies to protect digital assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
* Utilize industry security tools and frameworks.
**Required Skills**
* **Software Engineering** – Proficiency in at least one listed language and experience with SDKs (Java, .NET, Python).
* Knowledge of cloud architecture and scalable systems.
* Familiarity with Agile development and CI/CD pipelines.
* **Product Ownership** – Strong product management fundamentals, Agile methodology, and stakeholder communication.
* **Cybersecurity** – Expertise in red‑team exercises, penetration testing techniques, and SOC operations.
* Hands‑on experience with security tools and threat modeling.
* General – Excellent written and verbal communication, teamwork, and analytical thinking.
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
* Military technical training or equivalent professional experience is highly valued.
* Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+, Scrum Product Owner) are a plus but not mandatory.
