Job Description
**Job Title** Business Analyst – Digital Services **Role Summary** Provide business analysis for 12‑month transformation of care through digital projects. Capture, map, and document clinical and operational processes, translate them into digital solutions, and support implementation, testing, and decommissioning of systems. Deliver analytics, benefit tracking, and stakeholder communication to enable evidence‑based decision making. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑quality process maps, documentation, and scoping documents that meet clinical and corporate standards. - Translate complex “As‑is” and “To‑be” scenarios into actionable digital design recommendations. - Provide clear, data‑driven updates to the Transforming Care Digitally Programme Team on benefits realization and project status. - Engage with senior clinical and non‑clinical staff to elicit requirements, validate solutions, and ensure user‑adoption readiness. - Support end‑to‑end testing of new digital services and decommission legacy systems. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Capture and document current and future digital processes, producing structured process maps and detailed user guides. 2. Lead or facilitate workshops to map and analyze clinical and organisational business processes and systems. 3. Collaborate with programme, clinical, operational, and technical teams to define scope, requirements, and acceptance criteria for digital projects. 4. Analyse key metrics, generate benefit‑tracking reports, and provide regular analytical updates to the programme. 5. Support testing of software solutions during implementation, including legacy system decommissioning and user acceptance testing. 6. Produce standardised scoping documentation, including business cases, feasibility studies, and functional specifications. 7. Maintain comprehensive documentation repositories and ensure alignment with governance standards. **Required Skills** - Business analysis and requirements gathering (clinical & operational focus). - Process mapping (e.g., BPMN, flowcharts) and documentation (MS Visio, Word). - Analytical skills for metric interpretation, benefit tracking, and reporting. - Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation of workshops. - Knowledge of health‑care IT systems and digital transformation principles. - Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Power BI). - Excellent written and verbal communication in an executive‑level context. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or related field. - Professional certification preferred: CBAP/CCBA (IIBA), PMI‑CBAP, Prince2 Agile, or equivalent. - Experience or training in clinical data standards and NHS digital initiatives is an asset.
