Job Description
**Job Title:** Software Engineer (C#) **Role Summary:** Develop and maintain high‑concurrency, real‑time communication components for a mission‑critical call‑taking and dispatch platform. Work within an Agile team to design, implement, and secure SIP signaling, RTP/RTCP media handling, and related services, influencing technical direction and ensuring system reliability. **Expectations:** - 4+ years of commercial C#/.NET development experience. - Proven ability to design asynchronous, network‑focused solutions. - Strong problem‑solving skills in complex, real‑time environments. - Ability to collaborate with senior product leads and follow Agile/CI‑CD practices. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and implement C# components for SIP signaling and session management. - Process SIP headers, MIME bodies, and RTP/RTCP streams for voice and video. - Develop MCData services using HTTP and SIP MESSAGE protocols. - Manage XCAP configuration retrieval and XML document handling. - Ensure secure communications via OIDC authentication and MIKEY‑SAKKE encryption. - Work with WCF, SignalR, Entity Framework, ASP.NET/WebAPI in a CI/CD pipeline. - Contribute to technical decisions and documentation within the Agile team. **Required Skills:** - C# and .NET (Framework and/or .NET Core) - Asynchronous programming and multithreading - SIP protocol stack and RTP/RTCP knowledge - WCF, SignalR, Entity Framework, ASP.NET/WebAPI - XML (XSD) and multipart/mixed MIME handling - OOP, SOLID principles, Agile methodologies - CI/CD toolchains (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitLab CI) **Nice‑to‑Have Skills:** - Familiarity with 3GPP MCPTT/MCX standards - Experience with SRTP, TLS, KMS, or other encryption/key management solutions - Exposure to emergency services environments (police, fire, ESN) **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate) are a plus but not mandatory.
