Job Description
Job Title: Working Student – IT Support Technician Role Summary Provide day‑to‑day technical support for a global, hybrid workforce, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, onboarding/offboarding staff, and maintaining IT equipment inventory. Expectations - Completed or ongoing study in IT, Computer Science, or related field. - Some prior experience (role or internship) in help‑desk or IT support. - Willingness to learn tools such as MacOS, Jamf, Okta, Slack, and ticketing systems (Jira). - Proactive, customer‑focused mindset with strong organizational skills. Key Responsibilities - Deliver timely, professional end‑user support via call, chat, or email. - Analyze and resolve common laptop, mobile device, and productivity tool issues. - Provide basic hardware/software guidance and best‑practice recommendations. - Monitor service desk queue to meet response and resolution targets. - Coordinate IT onboarding for new hires: provisioning accounts and equipment. - Execute secure off‑boarding procedures. - Assist with ordering, tracking, and decommissioning IT equipment. - Support decommissioning of non‑compliant or obsolete hardware per policy. Required Skills - Basic troubleshooting of MacOS, Jamf, Okta, and Slack. - Familiarity with ticketing systems (Jira preferred). - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - People‑first approach to customer service. - Experience supporting distributed or hybrid teams is a plus. Required Education & Certifications - Current enrollment in a higher education program (IT, Computer Science, Information Systems). - No mandatory certifications required.
