Job Description: **Job Title:** Data Engineer **Role Summary:** Design, build, and maintain data pipelines for AI and analytics initiatives in a hybrid consulting and start-up environment. Collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, high-quality data architectures for machine learning and business decision-making. **Expectations:** Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment requiring proactive problem-solving, independent project ownership, and adaptability. Candidates should embrace challenges and think critically to deliver data solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and implement robust data pipelines using cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and tools like Databricks, Data Factory, and Synapse Analytics. - Develop and optimize SQL (T-SQL) and Python scripts for data processing and modeling. - Ensure data governance, DevOps best practices, and version control compliance. - Orchestrate workflows using Airflow or similar tools. - Partner with stakeholders to structure data for AI applications and communicate technical insights to non-technical audiences. - Support AI teams with high-quality, labeled datasets for machine learning models. **Required Skills:** - Strong expertise in T-SQL and Python for data processing. - Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), including Databricks, Data Factory, and Synapse. - Experience with data modeling techniques and DevOps practices (version control, automation). - Familiarity with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow). - Native Dutch speaker and fluent in English. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Master’s degree in a technical field (e.g., computer science, data science, engineering). - 3+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering roles. - Prior client-facing or consulting experience preferred. - Certification in Azure data technologies (e.g., DP-203) is a plus. - Expertise in Machine Learning/NLP considered advantageous.
