**Job Title**
Cyber Security Analyst
**Role Summary**
Strengthen the organization’s security posture by designing, implementing, and advising on effective, proportionate security controls. Provide proactive, consumable security capabilities that translate business needs into secure technical solutions to enable safe, resilient operations.
**Expectations**
* Continuously reduce operational and cyber risk through proactive security initiatives.
* Translate business requirements into secure, cost‑effective solutions.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed security by design across projects.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Participate in the Enterprise Risk Management Working Group, conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation plans for business and IT risks.
* Design, implement, and manage security technologies, services, and solutions (e.g., EDR, SIEM, PAM, DLP, identity services).
* Conduct threat modelling, risk assessments, and control gap analyses to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
* Produce and maintain security standards, patterns, and operational documentation.
* Monitor systems for security performance and recommend enhancements.
* Lead cross‑functional teams (“tiger teams”) to drive security changes.
* Champion security culture and best practices throughout the organization.
**Required Skills**
* Strong understanding of networking, virtual infrastructure, and application architecture.
* Hands‑on experience with modern security tooling (EDR, SIEM, PAM, DLP, identity services).
* Ability to assess risks and present technical recommendations in business‑friendly terms.
* Stakeholder management, technical leadership, and communication skills.
* Knowledge of secure architecture patterns and industry frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, OWASP).
* Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+) preferred but not mandatory.
