Our mobility solutions range from highly flexible high-thrust propulsion systems for small satellites (spaceware(tm)), mission simulation and operation software (spacestudio(tm) & spacetower(tm)), and orbital transfer vehicles (spacevan(tm)).

Exotrail has been incorporated in 2017 and has secured since then over 75MEUR from prestigious Venture Capital funds and public grants. Our team consists of +150 people who are passionate about disrupting the space industry. We operate out of two locations: Toulouse and Massy (suburb of Paris) in France.

Job Description
Job title: Electronics Subsystem Lead Role Summary: Lead the design, development, and integration of propulsion system electronics, specifically Thruster Control Units (TCU) and Electrical Demonstration Units (EDU), ensuring project delivery within time, budget, and quality targets. Expectations: Deliver technical and managerial leadership for electronics modules in a fast‑paced, innovative environment. Drive cross‑functional collaboration, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement while maintaining clear communication with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Key Responsibilities: - Create and maintain master project plans, budgets, and resource allocations for TCU and EDU modules. - Manage staffing levels, resolve conflicts, and report workforce status to Line Managers and Technical Project Managers. - Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, maintaining risk registers and ensuring timely action plans. - Track KPIs (budget compliance, schedule adherence, quality metrics) and prepare detailed status reports for senior leadership. - Oversee quality assurance for manufacturing deliverables, documentation, and production workflows. - Support production by troubleshooting issues, developing action plans, and coordinating with Industrialization teams. - Monitor supplier activities, ensuring technical follow‑up of subcontracted development tasks and periodic visits as needed. - Engage in subsystem/system integration, testing, and validation activities. Required Skills: - Strong technical expertise in spacecraft subsystems (propulsion, power electronics, embedded electronics, fluidic integration). - Proven project management experience (minimum 2 years leading development projects). - Risk assessment and mitigation, lifecycle management, and integration testing proficiency. - Leadership, conflict resolution, clear verbal and written communication, decisiveness under pressure, critical thinking, adaptability, negotiation, and high autonomy. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Aerospace Engineering, or related field. - Professional certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) highly desirable.

Manage end‑to‑end development cycles, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery that meets quality and client expectations.
