**Job Title**
Senior Network Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, integrate, and maintain secure, end‑to‑end network infrastructures, including VoIP, video teleconferencing, and data center solutions. Manage Cisco Unified Communications Manager environments, troubleshoot complex network issues, and provide expertise to support both onsite and offsite customers.
**Expectations**
* Deliver high‑quality network designs that meet security guidelines and customer requirements.
* Resolve complex issues in telecommunications circuits, routing, switching, VoIP, VTC, encryption devices, and Cisco data center/security.
* Maintain thorough documentation and train junior staff and service desk personnel.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Design and integrate comprehensive network, VoIP, VTC, and data center solutions.
* Manage end‑to‑end integration of black and red networks, overseeing design, installation, maintenance, and coordination with external services.
* Administer Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM); configure and troubleshoot IP phones, video conferencing devices, and related solutions.
* Diagnose and resolve complex network problems across customer sites, telecom circuits, routing, switching, VoIP, VTC, encryption devices, and Cisco data center/security.
* Create and maintain detailed documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
* Mentor and provide guidance to network administrators, service desk staff, and junior engineers.
**Required Skills**
* 5+ years networking experience (VoIP, VTC, data circuits, network encryption, virtualization).
* Proficient in dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) with deep knowledge of MPLS, DMVPN Hub & Spoke.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem‑resolution abilities across multi‑vendor environments.
* Ability to produce clear documentation and diagrams.
* Excellent communication and training skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or equivalent (minimum 1.5 years of college equivalent to 1 year of experience).
* DoD 8140 IAT Level II: SecurityCE + Computing Environment (CE) certification in Cisco technology (CCNA Voice) required.
* Valid U.S. driver’s license; capable of up to 10% local travel.
* Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with polygraph eligibility.
**Preferred Certifications & Experience**
* Cisco Collaboration, Data Center, or Security certifications.
* VMware NSX‑T virtualization and security platform experience.
