**Job Title**: Plastics Industry Purchaser **Role Summary**: Strategic procurement professional responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing contracts for plastics-related materials and services to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery. Focus on optimizing supplier performance, reducing costs, and aligning procurement strategies with production demands. **Expectations**: Drive cost-effective procurement strategies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and maintain supplier relationships to meet operational goals. **Key Responsibilities**: - Define and execute sourcing strategies for plastics materials and manufacturing services. - Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers. - Evaluate and onboard new suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality, financial, and sustainability standards. - Monitor supplier performance, mitigate risks, and maintain contract compliance. - Collaborate with engineering and marketing teams to anticipate future needs and standardize materials. - Update procurement systems (e.g., Salesforce) with supplier data. - Participate in projects to improve operational efficiency and sustainability (e.g., QVE programs). - Ensure supply continuity through logistical/contractual arrangements (LOG/MAF/OB). **Required Skills**: - Advanced procurement expertise (cost negotiation, supplier management). - Technical knowledge of plastics industry materials and manufacturing processes. - Contract law and legal compliance proficiency. - Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities. - Fluency in English; working knowledge of MS Office tools. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Bachelor’s or higher degree in business, engineering, or related field. - Professional certifications in procurement (e.g., CIPS, PMP) preferred but not mandatory.
