Job Description
**Job Title:** Physiotherapist (Rotational) **Role Summary:** Deliver comprehensive physiotherapy services—including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, referral and discharge—to a diverse patient population across rotating clinical areas, while supervising and supporting physiotherapy assistants, clinical support workers, and student clinicians. **Expectations:** - Provide safe, evidence‑based patient care in line with NHS standards. - Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with legal requirements (PVG Scheme, DBS/Disclosure Scotland, right‑to‑work). - Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and service improvement initiatives. - Support the professional development of support staff and students. - Demonstrate commitment to equality, diversity and inclusive practice. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments; develop and implement individualized treatment plans. - Deliver therapeutic interventions and monitor patient progress. - Arrange appropriate onward referrals and manage patient discharge processes. - Supervise, mentor, and train physiotherapy assistants, clinical support workers, and physiotherapy students. - Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews, audits, and quality‑ improvement projects. - Maintain up‑to‑date patient records using electronic health record systems. - Uphold health‑and‑safety, infection‑control, and confidentiality standards. - Engage in continuing professional development and keep professional knowledge current. **Required Skills:** - Strong clinical assessment and manual therapy competencies. - Ability to create and execute evidence‑based treatment plans. - Leadership and supervisory experience. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Flexibility to work across multiple clinical settings (rotational model). - Proficiency with electronic patient record systems. - Commitment to inclusive, patient‑centred care. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy. - Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or equivalent regulatory body. - Valid Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme membership/record (adult and/or child as required). - Satisfactory Disclosure Scotland/DBS check. - Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
