Job title: Onboard Chef Role Summary: Prepare and serve restaurant‑quality meals to West Coast first‑class passengers aboard trains, ensuring exceptional food quality, hygiene, and customer experience during all operating hours. Expectations: - Maintain the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene. - Deliver outstanding customer service with an outgoing, professional demeanor. - Work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and overnight shifts. - Comply with all safety, sanitary, and operational protocols specific to onboard service. Key Responsibilities: - Cook all menu items to specification, ensuring quality and consistency. - Keep kitchen, equipment, and utensils clean and sanitary at all times. - Order and manage food stocks and consumables, keeping waste to a minimum. - Monitor inventory and assist in replenishing supplies as needed. - Support onboard crew in delivering service to passengers, maintaining a positive dining environment. - Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials. - Participate in regular briefings and training sessions on service standards and safety.
