Job Description
**Job Title** Software Engineer **Role Summary** Develop, test, and support embedded software for defense systems using C and C++ in real‑time environments. Apply model‑based development and best practices to deliver high‑quality, maintainable code for RTOS deployments. **Expectations** - Deliver robust, tested embedded software that meets defense‑grade reliability and performance requirements. - Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and critical evaluations to ensure quality and compliance. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, providing technical guidance and assistance. - Prioritize and manage workload to meet project milestones under tight deadlines. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, code, and debug embedded applications in C/C++ for real‑time operating systems. - Test software changes on site and validate against specification. - Participate in analytical design activities: requirements analysis, risk assessment, and architecture reviews. - Perform software reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers. - Employ model‑based development tools and techniques to accelerate design iteration. - Apply modern software engineering best practices to maintain code quality and reliability. **Required Skills** - Strong proficiency in C and C++ for embedded systems. - Experience designing and implementing real‑time software on RTOS platforms. - Familiarity with model‑based development methodologies and tools. - Analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and critical evaluation abilities. - Excellent collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills. - Self‑motivated and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - No specific certifications required, but experience with embedded software standards and RTOS knowledge is essential.
