Are you an experienced Power BI developer ready to drive digital transformation? A prestigious global law firm is seeking a skilled contractor to modernise their business intelligence landscape and accelerate Power BI adoption across their international practice.

The Challenge:

This leading law and professional services firm needs a Power BI specialist to migrate existing reporting systems into sophisticated Power BI solutions. You'll work closely with the Digital Delivery team to create compelling dashboards and reports that serve global corporations, financial institutions, and investment managers across multiple offshore jurisdictions.

What You'll Deliver:

Analyse legacy business intelligence systems and design enhanced Power BI alternatives
Build custom Power BI reports and dashboards from stakeholder requirements
Convert existing SSRS reports into modern, interactive Power BI solutions
Establish secure data connections across SQL Server, Excel, and cloud-based sources
Configure row-level security protocols and automated refresh schedules
Partner with end-users globally to capture reporting needs and deliver tailored solutions
Drive continuous improvement in data visualisation and reporting efficiency

Essential Expertise Required:

Power BI expertise - 5+ years in BI development with strong Power BI focus
Platform proficiency - comprehensive experience with Power BI Desktop and Service environments
DAX mastery - advanced skills in creating complex calculations and measures
Data architecture - proven experience in data modeling and ETL process design
Database skills - thorough understanding of relational databases and SQL proficiency
Integration capabilities - connecting diverse data sources to Power BI platforms
Stakeholder engagement - strong communication skills for requirements gathering and solution delivery

Bonus Points For:

Legal industry software knowledge, particularly ViewPoint database schemas
Power Query (M) advanced development skills
Agile project methodology experience
Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification
