EDITORIAL INTERN | REMOTE | FALL SEMESTER | COURSE CREDIT

Are you passionate about design, advertising, photography, and visual arts? Graphis, the renowned international creative industry platform and publisher, seeks an Editorial Intern to join our team for a structured learning experience.

About Us: Graphis has been a leader in the visual communications industry for over 80 years, honoring exceptional creative work through our prestigious awards, books and magazines worldwide.

Educational Internship Opportunity: A structured, educational internship focused on learning and skill-building. This is unpaid but eligible for course credit -- we'll support paperwork. It's remote and ideal for students or recent grads ready to level up their editorial craft.

Requirements:

Commitment: 15-20 hours/week, minimum 12-week program
Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university OR recent graduate (within 6 months)
Must arrange academic credit through your institution

What You'll Learn:

Learn editorial production processes in creative industry publishing
Professional proofreading, copy-editing, and fact-checking workflows under supervision
Gain exposure to content research and curation methods
Industry standards for style (AP) and editorial quality control
How editorial teams make decisions -- from idea to published page

What You'll Be Doing Day-to-Day (Educational Focus):

Shadow & assist editorial team on book and magazine production
Proofread and fact-check copy with mentor feedback
Help research topics, contributors, and supporting materials
Observe and learn editorial decision-making processes
Support the production calendar

Qualifications:

Pursuing degree in journalism, communications, media studies, or related field
Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail
Genuine interest in creative industries
Self-motivated with ability to learn in fast-paced environment

Skills Training Provided:

AP Style application
Editorial software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
Basic CMS/WordPress (as applicable)
Editorial best practices and production checklists
