What You'll Accomplish
We are seeking a best-in-class Consumer Insights leader to join our team of obsessed Wellies. You will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by transforming data and insights into clear, actionable strategies that shape our brand, fuel innovation, and deepen our understanding of consumers and shoppers across every touchpoint. As a key strategic leader, you will champion a consumer-first mindset, enabling Wellness Pet to make smarter, faster, and more impactful decisions
Lead & Elevate the Insights Function: Build and lead a world-class insights capability that combines advanced quantitative analytics and qualitative methodologies to deliver breakthrough strategies and input across brand, innovation, communications, pricing, and distribution
Be the Voice of the Consumer: Serve as a key advocate for the consumer across all functions, ensuring their needs, behaviors, and motivations shape business strategies and decision-making
Drive Strategy with Actionable Insights: Analyze, synthesize, and translate complex data sets--spanning primary research, syndicated data, shopper behavior, economic trends, and emerging pet category insights--into clear, compelling, and actionable recommendations
Innovate Research Approaches: Identify, design, and execute a wide range of research methodologies including brand health tracking, loyalty and switching studies, segmentation, concept testing, A&U, behavioral science, and shopper journey mapping
Drive Shopper-Centric Insights: Drive shopper insights and analytics--understanding how consumers behave at the point of purchase across key channels (brick & mortar, e-commerce, specialty, mass, and club). Uncover key shopper drivers, decision hierarchies, and conversion barriers to inform retailer sell-in strategies, merchandising, pricing, and promotional execution
Influence at the Highest Levels: Craft persuasive stories and present insights to senior leadership, key retailers, and at industry events, directly shaping commercial and innovation strategies
Manage & Mentor: Lead and develop a Category Insights Manager, fostering growth and elevating the team's analytical and strategic capabilities
Partner with World-Class Vendors: Manage a portfolio of research and analytics partners, ensuring best-in-class data integrity, learning consistency, and cutting-edge methodologies that keep us ahead of consumer and category trends
Become Indispensable: Build the Insights function into a valued strategic partner, influencing decisions from the C-suite to the frontlines of retail execution
