Title: Vehicle Operations Specialist

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Role Overview:

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Vehicle Operations Specialist to support vehicle preparation, quality control, and logistics operations. This role ensures vehicles are delivery-ready, maintains inventory lot organization, and supports efficient movement of vehicles between locations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and experienced in operations, automotive, or vehicle lot management.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure vehicles meet quality standards through exterior washing and interior cleaning/preparation.
Shuttle vehicles to and from secondary locations, including customer and fleet vehicles.
Facilitate pre-delivery inspections, including cosmetic checks, dynamic test drives, and assessments using tools such as torque wrenches and compressed air equipment.
Conduct quality control processes and communicate defects to the service department.
Maintain vehicle readiness and safe, organized drive lanes on the inventory lot.
Prepare, inspect, and stage customer trade-ins for transport to auction or other destinations.
Complete additional tasks as assigned by the leadership team.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internal business platforms for recordkeeping and reporting.

Qualifications:

1+ years of experience in operations, logistics, lot management, or automotive/vehicle support; detailing experience preferred.
Service industry experience with work order documentation is a plus.
Minimum 21 years of age.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid driver's license in state of residence; clean driving record (no recent DUI or serious violations).
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Willingness to be subject to continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in varying conditions, including active service centers or outdoor environments.
Capable of performing physical tasks such as standing for long periods, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for tool operation, data entry, and communication.
Strong English reading and comprehension skills for documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance schematics.
