Robotics Engineer - ABB Specialist | Full-Time | Bedfordshire (Travel across UK)

About the Role:

We are looking for experienced Robotics Engineer with strong hands-on experience in ABB robotic systems, particularly with IRC5 controllers and RobotStudio, who are eager to contribute to innovative industrial automation projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using ABB robots (primarily IRC5-based systems).

* Oversee on-site installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of robotic cells.

* Program, simulate, and refine robotic operations using ABB RobotStudio.

* Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.

* Integrate robots with PLCs, vision systems, sensors, and wider automation equipment.

* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and industry regulations at all times.

* Produce and maintain clear, accurate technical documentation.

* Provide training, technical guidance, and ongoing support to clients and internal stakeholders.

* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost automation efficiency and manufacturing performance.

What We're Looking For:

* Degree or diploma in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.

* Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience with ABB robotic systems.

* Strong knowledge of IRC5 controller architecture.

* Strong proficiency in ABB RAPID programming and RobotStudio offline programming

* Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
