Job Title: Sr. Java Developer with IBM Sterling Experience

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer with deep expertise in IBM Sterling to join our team in Raleigh, NC. The successful candidate will lead the design, development, and implementation of complex, large-scale Order Management System (OMS) or B2B integration solutions. This role requires a blend of advanced Java development skills, mastery of the IBM Sterling platform, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable enterprise solutions.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of solutions using Java and the IBM Sterling platform (e.g., Sterling OMS or Sterling B2B Integrator).
* Serve as a subject matter expert and provide technical leadership on medium- to large-scale Sterling projects, including high-level design and code reviews.
* Customize and configure the IBM Sterling platform to meet specific business requirements, including developing new features, user exits, and APIs.
* Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, and other technical teams to understand business needs and translate them into robust technical solutions.
* Implement omnichannel business requirements using IBM Sterling products to support retail and e-commerce operations.
* Ensure seamless integration with other enterprise systems (e.g., payment gateways, e-commerce platforms) using protocols like REST, SOAP, and APIs.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, and provide 3rd-level application support as needed.
* Mentor junior developers and participate in an Agile/DevOps environment with a focus on continuous integration.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java, J2EE, and software development, with a deep understanding of object-oriented design patterns.
* 3+ years of specific experience implementing, customizing, and supporting IBM Sterling solutions, including relevant modules.
* Experience with IBM Sterling OMS is preferred, covering Order Management, Inventory Visibility, and other related modules.
* Strong proficiency with XML, XSLT, and database query languages like SQL.
* Experience with web services (SOAP, REST) and messaging systems (MQ, JMS).
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies, version control systems (e.g., Git), and deployment pipelines.
