We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing Platform team. This is a high-impact role where you'll design, implement, and maintain robust backend APIs and services that power the core of our business.

If you have experience building products from 0-1, thrive in fast-moving environments, and enjoy collaborating across teams, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Scope, design, and implement resilient, performant backend solutions.
Build and scale APIs that support multiple product lines.
Enhance existing integrations and ensure our systems scale with growth.
Identify and resolve errors, performance issues, and developer experience challenges.
Drive engineering best practices and architectural improvements.

Sample Projects

Build a unified API for insights data, used across teams.
Store and process metrics from multiple providers at scale.
Enhance system reliability to support 15x growth.

We're Looking For

6+ years of backend engineering experience (Node.js, TypeScript, Python, or Go).
Proven track record building 0-1 products (MVP - launch).
Experience in small, fast-moving teams or agencies/contract roles.
Strong communication skills, comfortable working with technical and non-technical teams.
Able to be hybrid in Toronto (1-2x per week).

Location: Toronto (hybrid, 1-2x per week downtown)

Salary: $150K-$220K
