Strategic Account Director - UK/EU

Travel will be UK and EU-wide, minimum of 50%

Role requirements and scope:

Steer strategic business opportunities within major pharmaceutical companies in your territory, seeking the chance to expand on existing relationships and hunt down new ones.
Build new relationships with key stakeholders such as Procurement, Sourcing, Laboratory Managers and Scientific Leaders.
Craft strategic and thorough plans for mapping and securing new customers and expanding the reach of existing partners.
Working closely with internal stakeholders to maximise opportunity to realise company goals and missions.
Identify and explore opportunities for partnerships with pharma companies, for example clinical trials and NPD.
Continuous analysis of the competitor landscape, monitoring trends and supply customer feedback to the Leadership team.
Use sales and performance data to shape business planning, factoring in budget, travel, territory management and goal setting.
Create statements of work (SOW) for incoming projects which address customer pain-points and objectives.
Providing strategic oversight and guidance to the SLT relating to the direction of travel for business development opportunities.

Your background:

BSc in a Life Science discipline (minimum) or equivalent, or a Business-related field.
Direct, proven and successful account management experience from within Pharmaceutical, Biotech or Diagnostics organisation/s. Demonstrable revenue generation through strategic business development.
Strong awareness of pharmaceutical services and the strategy employed in this agile landscape.
Demonstrable capability in maintaining an exemplary level of customer satisfaction, market insight and product development knowledge required to reach sales and marketing objectives.
Excellent technical understanding of molecular pathology, oncology, haematology and chemotherapeutics and targeted agents.
Well-developed influencing and negotiation skills, strategic account planning and listening skills.
Confident and engaging presenter, networker and collaborator. Able to bring stakeholders together to progress projects in a streamlined and joined-up manner.
