Application Support Analyst

PS300/day | Inside IR35 | 6-Month Contract | Hybrid - 2 Days Onsite in London

Location: London (2 days per week onsite)

Duration: 6 months, with potential to extend

Rate: PS300/day, Inside IR35

Interview: 2 Stages

We're looking for a proactive Application Support Analyst to join a cross-functional team supporting legacy systems across departments such as Claims, Underwriting, Finance and HR. This is a user-facing role that blends technical troubleshooting with strong communication and collaboration.

What You'll Be Doing

Act as the first point of contact for support tickets, ensuring timely updates and clear communication with users
Diagnose issues within legacy platforms (VB.NET, SQL, C#) and escalate to Change or 3rd Line teams when needed
Run SQL queries and perform data corrections as part of incident resolution
Monitor system alerts and performance metrics; basic scripting may be involved
Work closely with Infrastructure, Networking, and Change teams to resolve cross-platform issues
Follow ITIL-aligned processes for incident and change management, including CAB participation

What We're Looking For

Solid background in customer support and stakeholder engagement
Technical familiarity with VB.NET (for debugging), SQL (data manipulation), and C#
Understanding of ITIL principles and experience with structured incident/change workflows
Comfortable navigating across multiple departments and technical domains
