Full Stack Engineer

Our Client is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join their small but high-impact team. A growing fintech with a huge market opportunity, they're on a mission to modernize treasury optimization for SMBs by building innovative tools that bring clarity, automation, and intelligence to financial decision-making. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, startup-style environment and enjoys working across the stack to build and scale modern applications. You'll work closely with (and report directly to) the founder, giving you visibility, ownership, and influence from day one.

What You'll Do:

Design, build, and maintain APIs and services with a focus on scalability and performance.
Contribute to both backend (Java, Spring Boot, Postgres, Kubernetes) and frontend (React, Retool) systems.
Collaborate closely with product and design to deliver high-quality features end-to-end.
Explore and experiment with AI-powered development tools and frameworks to improve workflows and enhance product capabilities.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment pipelines.
Work in a collaborative, professional, but lighthearted team culture.

What We're Looking For:

3-5 years of professional full stack engineering experience.
Strong background in API development (REST and/or GraphQL).
Solid foundation in backend engineering (Java, Spring Boot, Postgres).
Experience with frontend development (React; Retool a plus).
Familiarity with containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Demonstrated curiosity and interest in applying AI/agentic tools to engineering--hands-on experience with tools like Cursor, Copilot, or LangChain is a strong plus.
Comfortable in a startup or small-team environment where adaptability is key.
