Role Description

This is a hybrid role for a Functional Analyst (with a technical background) based in Brussels. The Functional Analyst will collaborate closely with developers, testers, and product managers to translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories. Responsibilities include refining EPICs, writing and validating user stories, ensuring alignment with acceptance criteria, and supporting the technical team during implementation. The role requires a balance between analytical thinking and technical understanding, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality, user-centered solutions.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of recent experience as a Functional Analyst
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Technical background with knowledge of REST APIs, Swagger, and event-driven architectures
Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum, Jira, Confluence, and UML (diagrams and data modeling)
Fluent in Dutch/English or French/English
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
Team-oriented, proactive, and results-driven
Flexible and able to manage shifting priorities
