Business Systems Analyst (BSA)

Location: Hybrid - Downtown Toronto (2 days/week onsite)

Contract Duration: 12 months

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to support process documentation, stakeholder collaboration, and solution definition within a dynamic project environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on translating discussions into structured documentation and capturing data/process flows with clarity and precision.

Typical Day in Role:

- Attend stakeholder meetings to capture business requirements, data flows, and process flows

- Document current and future state processes in clear, structured formats

- Collaborate with business and technical teams to define solutions and process improvements

- Maintain and update documentation repositories for easy access and version control

- Support project teams with timely, accurate documentation deliverables

- Ensure alignment between business needs and documented solutions

- Follow up with stakeholders to validate and refine documentation as needed

Must-Have Skills:

- 7+ years of experience in a Business Systems Analyst

- Strong experience documenting business processes, workflows, and data flows

- Proficiency in tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or similar for process mapping

- Experience with Confluence, JIRA, or similar documentation platforms

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation streams

- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project environments

- Exposure to infrastructure or IT project settings

- Understanding of basic data concepts and system integrations

- Prior experience in banking or financial services is an asset
