Infrastructure Consultant - OpenStack Specialist Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Consultant with deep expertise in OpenStack to design, implement, and support scalable private cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure automation, virtualization, and open-source cloud technologies, with a focus on delivering robust, high-availability solutions for enterprise clients. Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and maintain OpenStack-based private cloud infrastructures.
Provide technical consulting and best-practice guidance to clients on cloud architecture and migration strategies.
Integrate OpenStack with existing systems, storage, and networking components.
Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Heat templates.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and performance issues.
Work with DevOps and Security teams to ensure compliance, monitoring, and scalability.
Deliver documentation, technical workshops, and knowledge transfer sessions. Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience deploying and managing OpenStack environments (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, etc.).
Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, or RHEL).
Experience with virtualization platforms (KVM, QEMU) and networking concepts (SDN, VLANs, VXLAN).
Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong Scripting skills (Python, Bash).
Excellent client-facing communication and documentation abilities. Desirable:
Experience with Ceph storage integration or Open vSwitch networking.
Exposure to public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for hybrid cloud designs.
Relevant certifications (eg, Certified OpenStack Administrator).
