As a Java Developer, you will play an integral role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver scalable, efficient solutions. This role offers hands-on experience with modern Java technologies and exposure to insurance system projects, with opportunities to contribute to both technical innovation and system optimization. You will participate in problem-solving discussions, debug and enhance existing applications, and support the full software development lifecycle. Accountabilities
Design, code, test, debug, and document software applications
Develop and maintain insurance system projects, ensuring reliability and efficiency
Collaborate with team members and IT colleagues to evaluate requirements and deliver technical solutions aligned with business needs
Apply and expand knowledge of technologies for internet, intranet, and internal applications
Participate in problem-solving discussions and share ideas to improve system functionality and performance
Gain hands-on experience with Guidewire and related technologies to support project delivery
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
Solid proficiency in Java programming; knowledge of Python is a plus
Exposure to or interest in Guidewire Insurance Suite (experience preferred but not required)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly
Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also taking initiative on independent tasks
Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and contributing to system improvement
