Position Overview

Calian ITCS is currently seeking a Senior Scrum Master to perform the following duties:

Responsibilities

Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, daily stand-ups, etc.) across multiple cross-functional teams.
Champion Agile and SAFe practices to enhance team performance, delivery quality, and velocity.
Collaborate with Product Owners, System Engineers, and Development Leads to ensure clear backlog prioritization and sprint execution.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across development, integration, and testing teams.
Monitor team progress and metrics, identifying and removing impediments to delivery.
Ensure alignment between Agile teams and broader project management/governance structures.
Contribute to technical discussions where applicable, leveraging understanding of C#, .NET, and the full SDLC.

Qualifications

Clearance: Secret (mandatory)
Controlled Goods Certification (must be eligible to apply)
Language: English
10+ years of experience in software development and delivery, with a strong background as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead.
Proven expertise in Agile and preferably SAFe Agile environments.
Solid understanding and hands-on experience across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Background in software development using C# and .NET technologies.
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
Based in Calgary with the ability to work in a hybrid/on-site arrangement due to the classified nature of the work.
