Our client, launched in December 2023 and are already taking the developer world by storm! They are the end-to-end developer platform for building seamless, lightning-fast customer-facing analytics directly into your product.

They are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to come on board and really make an impact. You will work alongside a small (but growing!) talented Backend Engineer team as part of a collaborative engineering team. You’ll have the opportunity to help shape the evolution of their backend architecture while contributing to a supportive environment that values innovation and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with the Head of Engineering and our wider engineering team.
Take shared ownership of our backend architecture, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
Build and maintain high-quality code base using Kotlin, Docker and microservice architecture.
Contribute to a culture of excellence by reviewing code, mentoring peers, and sharing knowledge with the team.
Work with DevOps team to improve monitoring, supportability and reliability of backend services
Actively participate in team discussions, explaining your solutions clearly while remaining open to feedback and suggestions.

Requirements:

8+ years’ experience as a backend engineer
Kotlin (or Java) and Spring Boot knowledge
Standard Kotlin (Java) library & best practices
Design patterns
Performance optimisations
PostgreSQL knowledge
AI-savviness, curiosity and enthusiasm - proven optimisation of your workflows through AI
User level experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience working on a scalable high-available micro-service architecture platform
Fluent level spoken and written English is a must!
