Overview:

eNGINE is hiring two Java Developers to support Cyber Security Development efforts for one of our downtown Pittsburgh based customers.

What You'll Do:

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular (or other frontend libraries)
Develop and integrate microservices in a distributed system
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices
Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and frontend engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and team stand-ups

What We're Looking For:

4+ years of backend development experience using Java and Spring Boot
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
Familiarity with relational databases and/or NoSQL technologies
Experience with message brokers like RabbitMQ is a plus
Strong communication and collaboration skills in hybrid teams

Nice-to-Have Skills:

AppDynamics or similar monitoring tool experience
RabbitMQ, Kafka, or other messaging systems
CI/CD tooling, containerization (Docker), or cloud exposure
