Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Manager, Networking & Cybersecurity will be responsible to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of HPS' network and information assets. This involves managing critical network infrastructure, identifying and mitigating risks, implementing, and enforcing security policies and procedures, monitoring the network for threats and vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents. This position is responsible for managing SOC analysts assigned to the team, including hiring and training security personnel, setting goals and objectives, providing feedback and performance evaluations. This role is critical in protecting the valuable assets and maintaining the trust of customers and stakeholders for HPS.
Key Responsibilities Include
Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to network engineers, SOC analysts, and project teams. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, encouraging innovation, continuous learning, and professional development.
Develop and utilize metrics to identify and analyze trends and issues, supporting continuous improvement
Develop and implement the annual IT operational plan, including budget preparation and forecasting for technology spending on IT services and personnel.
Manage and evaluate vendors and service providers, oversee service agreements, warranties, and license management processes.
Demonstrate expertise in managing complex projects involving data networking, advanced routing and switching, and cybersecurity/intrusion detection/email security technologies.
Familiarity with cloud/hybrid cloud, IaaS, and virtualized environments such as VMware/HyperV
Ability to design, configure, and optimize network monitoring and performance.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed.
Proven experience in managing network security policies and procedures.
Lead and manage the design, implementation, and support of HPS’s global network infrastructure, including complex projects across multiple international sites.
Oversee daily health checks and monitoring of firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and other critical network components. Ensure that all systems are operating optimally and securely, with proactive identification and resolution of potential issues.
Lead the troubleshooting of complex network issues, including VLAN reconfigurations, DNS problems, DHCP requests, and VPN tunnel management. Employ advanced diagnostic techniques to resolve issues efficiently, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
Manage the planning and execution of network upgrades, including the replacement of outdated switches and APs in other sites and other critical operational sites. Ensure that all upgrades are completed on time and within budget, with minimal disruption to operations.
Spearhead the transition to advanced network architectures, including the integration of hybrid cloud solutions, IaaS, and virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, HyperV). Ensure that the network infrastructure is optimized for performance, scalability, and security.
Manage the deployment and optimization of security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN gateways. Ensure that all systems are configured to provide maximum protection against unauthorized access, malware, and other threats.
Oversee daily Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, including the monitoring of Cisco Umbrella, AMP, SecureWorks Taegis, and other critical security systems. Analyze alerts, mitigate threats, and escalate incidents as necessary, ensuring a rapid and effective response to potential security breaches.
Lead the organization’s response to cybersecurity incidents, including phishing attacks, network intrusions, and data breaches. Develop and implement incident response plans, conduct forensic analysis, and coordinate recovery efforts to minimize impact and restore normal operations.
Develop and implement an information security management program based on recognized security and technology governance frameworks.
