This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a PHP Developer - 6 Month Contract in Europe.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to dynamic software development projects for clients in the insurance sector. You will collaborate with a small, focused team to design, build, and maintain applications, ensuring efficient, scalable, and secure solutions. The environment is fully remote, fast-paced, and hands-on, allowing you to leverage your PHP and Laravel expertise while expanding your knowledge of cloud technologies and modern frontend frameworks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, taking ownership of features from development through deployment, while contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and code quality. This contract position provides flexibility, technical challenges, and the chance to gain exposure to enterprise-level projects in a supportive team setting.
Accountabilities:
Develop and maintain backend systems using PHP and Laravel
Integrate applications with PostgreSQL databases and RestAPIs
Collaborate with frontend developers using React and JavaScript to deliver cohesive solutions
Deploy and manage applications on AWS cloud infrastructure
Contribute to project planning, code reviews, and quality assurance processes
Work closely with a small development team to meet deadlines and ensure product delivery
Requirements
Strong experience in PHP and Laravel development
Proficiency with PostgreSQL, RestAPIs, and AWS cloud services
Understanding of frontend technologies, such as React and JavaScript
Experience working in the insurance or financial services industry is preferred
Ability to work effectively in a small, fast-paced team environment
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to take ownership of tasks
