Role Overview

As our team continues to grow, we're looking for a Python API and Backend senior developer (M/F) to join our R&D hub in Nantes.

This is a unique opportunity to:

Contribute directly to a product used by data science teams at major enterprises

Key Responsibilities

Establish best practices for high code quality and team productivity
Collaborate with Product and cross-functional teams to define requirements and roadmap
Evaluate and integrate new technologies into the backend stack
Ensure an excellent API experience tailored for Data Scientists and contribute to backend services built with Node.js

Ideal Candidate Profile

8+ years of professional software development experience
Strong expertise in Python and NodeJS
Experience designing intuitive APIs and architecting scalable Python projects
Solid understanding of machine learning workflows is a strong plus
Mastery of software design patterns and development methodologies
Experience contributing to or maintaining Python open-source projects is a bonus
Knowledge of building frontends with React is appreciated
Proficient in automated testing methodologies (TDD, BDD)
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
Passionate about writing high-quality, maintainable code
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
