Overview
The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Consulting Services will lead the creation and expansion of a newly established consulting organization. This role is ideal for a dynamic, entrepreneurial leader with a proven track record of building consulting practices from the ground up, developing high-impact service offerings, and driving significant revenue growth. The SVP will be responsible for defining the vision, structure, and go-to-market strategy for the consulting business, while ensuring exceptional customer outcomes and long-term value creation.
This position can be based in Herndon, VA or New York, NY.
YOUR IMPACT
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Strategic Leadership
Architect and launch a scalable consulting organization aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
Expand and scale the current security, artificial intelligence (AI), cloud advisory, and consulting practice/offerings.
Create a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for consulting and professional services.
Further define service offerings that integrate with the company’s broader technology portfolio and expand market reach.
Identify and capitalize on new revenue opportunities through consulting-led engagements.
Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, translating complex business challenges into actionable consulting solutions.
Monitor industry trends and customer needs to continuously evolve the consulting portfolio.
Operational Excellence
Build and operationalize consulting delivery models, methodologies, and performance metrics.
Establish scalable processes and systems to support growth, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate cross-functionally with sales and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution.
Leverage data and analytics to drive decision-making, optimize resource allocation, and measure impact.
Ensure high-quality delivery and consistent customer experiences across all engagements.
Revenue Generation
Own and grow the consulting P&L, with accountability for revenue targets, profitability, and margin optimization.
Drive pipeline development and sales enablement in partnership with sales and business development teams.
Cultivate strategic customer relationships that lead to repeat business and long-term partnerships.
Identify opportunities to bundle consulting services with technology solutions to increase deal size and value.
People and Culture Leadership
Recruit, develop, and retain top consulting talent across multiple disciplines.
Foster a high-performance culture rooted in collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Provide mentorship and leadership development to build a resilient and scalable team.
Lead through change and transformation with clarity, empathy, and vision.
Travel is required for this role.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business, Management, or Technology; advanced degree (MBA or similar) preferred for strategic leadership.
10+ years of experience in consulting services, with a strong focus on the technology sector.
Demonstrated success in building and scaling a consulting practice, including service design, team development, and go-to-market execution.
Proven ability to generate and grow revenue through strategic consulting engagements across multiple technology domains, including but not limited to security, AI, and cloud advisory.
Deep experience in business transformation, change management, and solution innovation.
Strong executive presence and experience engaging with C-suite stakeholders.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
7+ years of experience in people leadership, with a track record of building high-performing teams.
Willingness to travel as needed.
POSITION SPECIFICS
The initial base salary range for this position is expected to be between $200,000 and $250,000 annually. The final base salary offered will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, depth of experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, our compensation structure may include other components such as commissions and discretionary bonuses.
