Location Address: Toronto- Hybrid – onsite 2-4x/week

Contract Duration: 1 year with the high Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE

Business group: GTEP - Strategic Portfolio Office

Strategic Portfolio Office (SPO) manages the development, execution and performance of the department’s strategy and roadmap. We ensure a stable, secure and efficient infrastructure and service delivery, that protects the customer experience and supports business growth. We lead efforts around performance, optimization and innovation, best practice portfolio management, financial management and transparency, and employee experience excellence.

Project: The Technology Program Office reports into the SPO and is responsible for the delivery of GTEP and CISO Strategic Initiatives. This includes Financial Analysis, Project Life-Cycle Planning, KPI Reporting and Benefits Realization. We provide an end-to-end view of all Global Strategic Programs and liaise with key IT Corporate Functions. Reporting to the Portfolio Director, the Project Manager will be leading the upgrade and remediation of core technologies within the Bank.

Responsibilities:

• Attend daily financial touchpoints and any relevant meetings

• Review ad hoc funding requests from the team for approval

• Assist in the forecasting of the budget and make any adjustments as needed

• Review submitted timesheets and escalate as necessary

• Connect with relevant team members to receive updates on forecasts/actuals

• Download appropriate financial reports from PeopleSoft and reconcile with our financial workbooks

• End of Month reporting in CAPPM

Must Have Skills:

1) 5+ years of experience working as a Financial Analyst

2) 5+ years of experience with financial forecasting, budgeting and tracking (budget size $25 million)

3) 3+ years of experience creating financial reporting

4) strong proficiency in Excel

5) strong knowledge of Accounting Principles (accruals, capitalization, etc.)

6) previous experience with Oracle PeopleSoft

Nice-To-Have Skills:

1) previous experience working with CAPPM

2) banking experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in a business-related field such as BBA, BComm, BAcc, MBA, etc.

Best VS. Average Candidate: The ideal candidate would have strong financial analyst experience and understanding of accounting principles. CAPPM experience is strongly preferred.
