Chief Financial Officer – Global Reinsurance Group

London (with monthly international travel across Europe/South America)

Alexander Lloyd Executive Search are delighted to be working on this CFO opportunity and the chance for someone to join a growing international reinsurer at a pivotal stage of its global evolution — offering board-level influence and significant long-term incentive potential.

A brief outline is below and a further follow up is available where we can outline more around the role and opportunity. We are seeking a seasoned insurance sector CFO who is internationally mobile (the role will involve monthly travel, which could be up to 2 weeks)

Lead financial strategy, capital optimisation, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Oversee group reporting (IFRS / local GAAP), audit, treasury, and investments.
Manage solvency, capital, and rating-agency relationships.
Partner with the CEO and board to drive global growth and performance insights.
Build and mentor a high-performing international finance function.

Profile Sought

Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with 10+ years’ experience in reinsurance or specialty insurance.
Strong technical grounding in IFRS 17, Solvency II, and multi-entity reporting.
Exposure to offshore jurisdictions.
Commercially minded, strategic leader with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
