Lead AI Engineer (Agentic AI Applications) – Contract

We’re looking for a hands-on Lead AI Engineer who can drive delivery, guide teams, and build production-grade AI applications using LLMs, SMLs, and modern distributed systems.

What you’ll do:

• Lead delivery of AI engineering projects and guide offshore/onshore teams

• Architect and build Agentic AI applications using LLMs/SMLs

• Design microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures

• Work with Python, FastAPI, Azure, Kafka, Kubernetes

• Partner with product, program, and platform teams to define scope and deliverables

• Ensure reliability, observability, and production readiness of AI systems

• Stay current with LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI tools, and bring innovation into the work

What we’re looking for:

• 7+ years in software/AI engineering with experience leading teams

• Strong system design, architectural thinking, and ability to break down complex work

• Experience with offshore collaboration

• Solid coding and problem-solving skills (LeetCode medium level)

• Deep experience with distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs, Kafka

• Familiarity with LLMs/GenAI; Python experience is a strong plus

• Understanding of non-functional requirements like scaling, monitoring, performance

• Clear communicator who can work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
