Senior Software Developer

Swindon (Hybrid - 3 days per-week)

£55,000 - £65,000 + Progression + Pension

An excellent opportunity awaits a Software Developer with strong PHP and Laravel experience to join a growing technology-first business. The role offers technical variety, ownership and clear progression opportunities.

This company is an established but expanding B2B business, with technology as its key differentiator they're looking to further grow and diversify their SaaS solutions offering.

In this role, you'll take ownership of both new and existing systems, maintaining legacy code where needed while leading the design and development of new solutions. You'll work closely with the Head of Software to align on technical direction, while taking the hands-on lead in building and improving Laravel-based applications, managing APIs and third-party integrations. This is a great opportunity to shape the product's direction and contribute to the products growth. The role is based in Swindon on a hybrid basis, with at least three days in the office per week.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Laravel and PHP, be comfortable owning both the development new and existing systems. The right person will have full-stack development experience, strong databased experience (SQL) and preferably cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP). This role suits someone ready to take a leading role in development with strong support from the business.

The Role

Take ownership of new and existing systems, including legacy code, and lead development of a new software suite
Build, maintain, and improve Laravel applications, including APIs and third-party integrations
Make technical decisions to guide the growth and scalability of the product
Hybrid role based in Swindon, with a minimum of 3 in the office per week

Strong commercial experience with Laravel and PHP, comfortable managing both new and existing systems
Full-stack skills, ideally with cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Looking for a leading role with responsibility for product and development
Based within commutable distance of Swindon with full UK right to work
