Job Title: VP, Data Center Design

Salary: $250k–$300k base

Company Overview:

Growing developer/operator delivering modular, high-efficiency data centers for cloud and enterprise customers. Backed by institutional capital, focused on repeatable designs and fast delivery.

Position Summary:

Senior technical leader owning facility design standards and delivery across sites. Build and lead a small design team, set master specs, and ensure projects meet schedule, cost, and performance targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create/maintain design standards for power, cooling, controls, and civil works.

• Lead design reviews, supplier selection, and factory acceptance for modular systems.

• Manage vendor relationships and technical contracts; reduce constructability issues.

• Track design KPIs and drive continuous improvement.

• Support proposals and client technical meetings; travel for site oversight.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years in data center design/delivery; 3+ years in leadership.

• Strong knowledge of UPS/generators, power distribution, large cooling systems, and controls.

• Experience with modular/prefab approaches and vendor management.

• BS in Engineering (PE or MS preferred).
