Overview

We are looking for a skilled Microsoft 365 Security Engineer to strengthen our cloud security and compliance posture. The role focuses on safeguarding Microsoft 365 and Entra ID environments through proactive security management, governance, and continuous improvement aligned with ISO27001 and NCSC best practices.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Implement and maintain M365 and Entra ID security configurations, including Conditional Access, MFA, and identity protection.

Manage and optimise compliance and governance frameworks across M365 (Defender, DLP, Purview, Endpoint Manager).

Conduct regular audits, security posture reviews, and incident investigations.

Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to align with organisational policies and regulatory standards.

Provide expert advice on Zero Trust principles, least privilege access, and identity lifecycle management.

Develop security documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer for internal IT teams.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 7 years’ experience in M365 or Entra security and governance roles.

Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Centre, Entra ID, Intune, and Defender suite.

Proven experience with PowerShell, KQL, or automation tools for security management.

Familiarity with ISO27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, and GDPR compliance.

Microsoft Certified: Security Administrator Associate or equivalent.
