Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Power BI developer to design and develop comprehensive reporting solutions for our clients SQL Server-based food industry ERP system. This role requires someone who can translate manufacturing and finance data into actionable business intelligence.

Required Qualifications
Technical Skills

Power BI: 3+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
SQL Server: Strong T-SQL skills with experience querying complex relational databases
DAX: Proficiency in writing advanced DAX formulas for time intelligence, filtering, and aggregations
Data Modelling: Experience with star schema design and data warehouse concepts
ERP Systems: Previous experience working with ERP data structures, particularly food industry systems (eg, Sage, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) Key Responsibilities
Report Development

Design and build interactive Power BI dashboards and reports connected to a SQL Server ERP database
Create data models optimized for industry metrics including inventory, production, quality control, and finance.
Develop custom DAX measures and calculated columns.
Implement row-level security to ensure appropriate data access across departments Data Integration

Write efficient SQL Server queries and stored procedures to extract and transform data from the ERP system
Optimize data refresh schedules to balance performance with Real Time reporting needs
Create and maintain dataflows for commonly used datasets
Document data lineage and transformation logic Stakeholder Collaboration

Conduct requirements gathering sessions with department heads (operations, quality assurance, procurement, sales)
Translate business requirements into technical specifications
Provide training and documentation for end users Industry Knowledge

Understanding of manufacturing workflows (procurement, production, packaging, distribution, finance)
Familiarity with manufacturing industry compliance requirements (lot tracking, expiration dates, quality metrics) Soft Skills

Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Attention to detail, particularly regarding data accuracy
Ability to work independently and manage project timelines Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Power Query (M language) for advanced data transformation
Familiarity with Power BI deployment pipelines and version control
