Freelance Project Manager – Data Centre Refurbishment (Paris)

Contract: 6 months (extension likely)

Location: Paris area – Hybrid (3 days on-site / 2 days remote)

Start: ASAP / January 2026

Rate: Competitive day rate

Role Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to lead a data centre refurbishment project in the Paris area. You’ll coordinate design, M&E, and construction teams to deliver upgrades in a live data centre environment — ensuring safety, quality, and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all phases of the refurbishment project from planning to handover.
Oversee contractors, budgets, and schedules.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards.
Liaise with stakeholders and provide regular progress reporting.
Manage risk, change, and commissioning activities.

Requirements

5+ years’ experience delivering data centre or critical infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of M&E systems, power, and cooling.
Fluent in English and French.
Skilled in MS Project or similar tools.
Relevant PM certification (Prince2, PMP, etc.) preferred.
