The Role

A client in the transport industry is seeking a Project Manager to join the team for a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will lead the integration of a newly acquired business into existing operations and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. The role involves working closely with senior leadership to deliver operational excellence and manage all aspects of the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Lead the integration of a newly acquired business into existing operations.
Manage planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting across the project lifecycle.
Coordinate cross-functional teams including commercial, finance, and IT.
Oversee depot relocation and operational changes with minimal service disruption.
Identify and mitigate risks throughout the integration process.
Maintain control over timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
Communicate progress effectively to senior stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with organisational standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

7+ years’ experience in project management at manager level or above.
Must have a consultancy firm background.
Proven track record in integration projects, ideally within transport or related sectors.
Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage financial implications.
Familiarity with IT systems and ability to engage with technical teams.
Resilient and confident in dealing with senior stakeholders.
Hands-on approach with ability to deliver under tight timelines.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Immediate availability and willingness to work on-site 4–5 days per week.

Start date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months with potential to extend
Day rate: £80,000 – £90,000 per annum (FTC)
Location: Chiswick, West London (on-site 4–5 days per week)
