Senior Python Engineer – Contract

Location: London

Rate: Competitive daily rate (contract)

I’m recruiting on behalf of a global hedge fund for a Senior Python Engineer to join on a contract basis. We’re looking for someone with strong, hands-on Python expertise, and are interested in candidates with experience in hedge funds, investment/asset managers, and/or investment banking.

A key requirement is experience building tools, automations, or internal systems for middle- or back-office teams (finance, operations, HR, reporting, etc.). This role is focused on operational processes rather than front-office trading.

Requirements

Senior-level Python engineering experience
Background in hedge funds, investment/asset managers, and/or investment banking
Proven experience delivering tooling or automation for middle/back-office functions
Bonus: experience managing or collaborating with remote teams, especially across Asia
