Power BI Developer (6 Month Contract)

Location: London (Hybrid, 2 days onsite)

Type: Interim/Contract, Inside IR35

Day Rate: £600 to £700 per day

We're seeking a highly capable Power BI Developer to join a global organisation undergoing significant transformation and change. This fast paced 6 month contract is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments where priorities shift quickly and high quality insight is needed at speed. If you bring advanced Power BI skills and strong FP&A experience, you'll play a key role in shaping how financial data is used across the business.

The Role

You'll support the FP&A team by rapidly delivering high impact dashboards, reports and analysis that drive strategic decision making across the organisation. As the subject matter expert for Power BI, you'll enhance data accessibility, improve reporting capability and support ongoing finance transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain intuitive, high performing Power BI dashboards and reports that provide clear, actionable insight
Build sophisticated financial calculations using advanced DAX
Use Power Query to extract, transform and load data from multiple systems
Work closely with the FP&A team to understand evolving reporting needs and deliver solutions at pace
Ensure accuracy, consistency and data integrity across all outputs
Provide guidance and upskilling to colleagues on Power BI functionality and best practice
Respond to urgent requests and support wider transformation driven analysis projects

About You

Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification is desirable
Strong background in FP&A or a similar financial analysis environment
Proven experience building Power BI dashboards and working across complex datasets
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem solving skills
Confident working at pace with large, complex data sets
Experience with finance systems (Oracle) and advanced Excel modelling beneficial
Strong communicator who collaborates effectively in a change driven environment
